New York, 23 February 2012 - The winners of the International Mercury Awards honouring Excellence in Marketing and Communication have been announced. This year Munich based publisher Journal International receives its seventh award for CENTURION Magazine within the last 5 years. With the editorially independent luxury lifestyle magazine for American Express' most premium cardmembers the publisher won the Gold Award in the category "Magazine - Special Audience." This new recognition extends the list of Mercury accolades for CENTURION to five consecutive years of winning the prestigious award in several categories. The multiple award winning magazine - honoured recently at the Pearl Award in November 2011 in New York - has been published by Journal International for over 10 years and now appears in 5 languages and 17 editions within Europe, the Middle East, the Pacific and Latin America spanning more than 30 countries. This summer, the publication will extend its presence to an additional 16 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Bermuda.

On the 14th of March The Australian announced that it had over 40,000 digital subscribers and over 30,000 consumers had purchased digital packages. This is the first burst of data that has been released and exceeds expectations. Other statistics on The Australian's quality readership are: Weekday circulation has experienced an increase of +3.5%; 46% of digital subscribers are reading The Australian more than before they subscribed; and, 34% of digital subscribers are C-Suites executives.
