Jakarta, June 11, 2010 - For the eighth year in a row, DestinAsian magazine has been honored for editorial excellence at the annual Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) Awards. DestinAsian is the only Asian travel magazine to have take home SOPA accolades every year since 2003. DestinAsian's win - in the category of local newspaper or small magazines published in English - was for Excellence in Feature Photography (Honorable Mention) for "Kiwi Country," shot on New Zealand's South Island by Bangkok-based photographer Jason Michael Lang. SOPA judges said the images "captured the rugged beauty and stark isolation of the region [through a mix of] landscapes, intimate portraits, and still-life details."
